As a part of the Pixel Systems Power group, you will focus on power and performance aspects of the software design, data flow analysis, and improving the battery-life experiences of users. You will also be responsible for coordinating efforts with teams across Android platforms, applications and hardware teams to ensure great battery life for Pixel devices.The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.Responsibilities Work with cross-functional hardware and software teams to meet the power goals. Analyze and optimize the software running across the key components of the chipset (SoC) like CPU, GPU, Memory Subsystem and Connectivity. Debug and resolve battery drain issues. Collaborate with Android app teams across Google to help them optimize power. Develop tools and tests for validating and monitoring power consumption.
