THE ROLE:As a Principal Mechanical/Thermal Engineer in the Product Development Organization, you will be responsible for the infrastructure thermal design and implementation, validation and technology development for the AMD Instinct products. To accomplish this, you will need to interact with other key engineering teams such as silicon design, boarding engineering, validation, contract manufacturers and other leaders within AMD.THE PERSON:We are seeking aPrincipal Mechanical/Thermal Engineerto lead the design and development of mechanical and thermal systems for our next-generation Instinct products. This is a senior-level, hands-on technical leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of mechanical design, thermal architecture, and cross-functional collaboration.You’ll be responsible for defining, developing, and validating innovative thermal and mechanical solutions that meet demanding performance, reliability, and manufacturability goals across multiple product lines.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Design/implement infrastructure that supports test and qualification of our Instinct product in production - Manufacturing solutions for our thermal requirements - Create detailed designs for mechanical systems and build/test prototypes to validate the designs. - Develop innovative approaches to cool the systems and use advanced tools to analyze thermal performance. - Conduct simulations and experiments to verify the designs, ensure compliance with industry standards. - Identify and resolve mechanical and thermal related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development while keeping projects on schedule and within scope. - Manage new product development mechanical/thermal processes to ensure successful product launches on time. - Oversee the manufacturing process of mechanical/thermal components and systems to ensure that quality and specifications are met. - Stay at the forefront of mechanical and thermal innovations and technologies to provide strategic product and process enhancements.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Extensive experience leading mechanical and thermal design efforts, with a proven track record of delivering high-performance, reliable hardware solutions. - Strong background in mechanical/thermal design, analysis, and validation. - Knowledge of Design for Assembly/Manufacturing and statical tolerance analysis. - Proficiency in using advanced 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, ProEngineer. - Experience with thermal and structural analysis tools such as Ansys tools. - Hands-on experience on latest liquid cooling technologies/approaches. - Strong data analysis skills to analyze mechanical and thermal test results. - Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred in Mechanical EngineeringLOCATION:Hsinchu, Taiwan#LI-SC4 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services. 1.設計和開發MOCVD設備的機械零件、子系統和組件，確保其性能、可靠性和可製造性。2.進行結構、熱力和流體分析，優化在高溫和真空條件下的機械設計。3.評估並選擇可耐受腐蝕性氣體（如Cl₂、NH₃）及高溫環境的材料。4.與製程工程師密切合作，確保機械設計滿足MOCVD製程需求。5.排查並解決現有MOCVD系統中的機械問題，並實施設計改進。6.與供應商和供應鏈合作，採購材料、零件及子系統。7.編寫詳細的工程圖紙、規範和技術文件。8.在運行條件下進行原型測試與驗證。9.確保設備設計符合行業標準（如SEMI S2、SEMI S8）的安全性與可靠性要求。10.支援MOCVD設備的安裝、調試及維護工作。

1. 設計、修改及改良原型機機械模組2. 熟悉並能提出對提升設備能力的可選用零組件：元件選用、整併至機構系統內。3. 熟悉機械材料選用、圖面標示及加工法4. 熟悉龍門架構Pick Place領域的Motion類型機械設計，伺服、線性馬達...等估算且選用。5. 熟悉業界各大零部件供應商的相關產品（包括電，氣，Sensors）配合機械驗證、製程實驗所需的方案選用。6. 估算機械各處精度、剛性，並能掌握使用何種sensor量化。7. 審圖、拆圖、Bom建立與維護、機械組裝校驗。8. 協助維護或撰寫BOM與機台操作手冊。
