-Understand project requirement, perform feasibility studies, and be able to propose machine vision solutions to customers.-Perform image evaluation on customer’s samples to determine and propose the hardware (optic, camera, lens, lighting) and software requirement for machine vision system.-Design and develop machine vision system based on project requirements with software programming language or logic based configuration by utilizing image processing library.-Perform software programming, UI design, software architecture design, and software performance optimization on PC based vision platform.-Responsible for installation and support on programming and fine tuning vision inspection systems at factory and customer site.-Accountable for project planning, delivery schedules and project realization project time estimation including customer site support and training.-Travelling to set-up buy-off machines is necessary.-Must display initiative and ability to work in small multi-disciplinary teams including Customers, Project Managers and Project Team.-Position is able to apply broad knowledge of specific technical/operational practices.-Checks for problems in existing systems and modifies work processes following defined procedures.-Operational role responsible for achieving day-to-day objectives.-Protect and retain documents and records under your control to assure that they are readily retrievable.-Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.-To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:* Lead the design, development and implementation of technical solutions for complex projects, involving multiple domains. Participate in project planning and scheduling.* Provide technical leadership and direction to a sizable team of engineers. May be a recognized expert (go to person) in one or more technical areas* Take responsibility for non-technical elements of an engineering project (people, financials etc.).* Review and interpret customer requirements/specifications and may act as primary customer contract.* Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutions. Develops deployment strategies and plans.* Lead the deployment of strategic complex programs and coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.* May manage relationships with key vendors/partners.* Prepare calculations on the proposed solution before completing technical drawings* Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs. E.g. Sketch and draw up designs using input from other engineers, requirements and input from design review (DFx) team* Create designs in line with company procedure, regulations and client standards* Submit drawings to management, engineering teams and customers for review.* Use customer feedback and data to upgrade, improve or repair the company's existing machines* Provide support during the manufacturing process* Finalize designs and send prints to the production department

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:* Responsible for thermal solutions design to meet product requirements* Conduct the detailed thermal assessment by calculation and simulation analysis to ensure the optimal thermal solution is implemented.* Responsible for delivering comprehensive thermal proposals for RFQ technical response and presenting thermal proposals to customers* Work closely with heat sink vendors to develop cost-efficient heat sink solutions to meet performance and cost targets.* Provide a power-saving fan speed control strategy and work closely with the software team to ensure fan speed control is implemented.* Participate in thermal technology research and development to meet the thermal requirements of future IT equipment.* Provide innovative and creative solutions to resolve thermal challenges and issues* Establish and improve thermal processes and guidelines.* Responsible for thermal test validation of IT equipments including server/storage/switch product.* Set-up thermal test environment and execute the thermal test including wind tunnel test and temperature test.* Work with other function team to resolve thermal relevant issues.* Document comprehensive thermal test plan and report.

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:* Conduct design of various type of product, including activities such as:- Understand customer requirements and refine product specifications- Provide design proposals and establish design goals and objectives for the team review and approve- Support program management on define mechanical design schedule- Perform necessary design analysis including strength analysis, tolerance analysis- Optimize designs through FEA/CFD analysis report, DFx review, and cost analysis- Identify and resolve cross-functional and cross-discipline architectural issues• Support technical proposal, planning and cost estimation that will aid in the initial quoting process.• Work with multi-function to define prototype build strategy and support proto builds.• Support to develop part/system test plan, perform prototype validation, system assembly check/verification, issue analysis and solutions• Release part designs for tooling and support tooling build, provide support during the product manufacturing stage.• Interfacing with overseas counterparts and overseas suppliers, manufacturing and other internal departments.• Interfacing with overseas customers• Support manager to create tools and processes that result in organizational efficiency.
