As a Global Quality Reliability Method Group Senior statistician for Micron Technology, Inc., you will work with different teams providing statistics and data science (DS) solutions that support taking company’s products from design to production, and to customer. Your primary responsibility will be utilizing statistical and DS knowledge and techniques to develop and implement methods for data analysis, modeling, and automation to ensure product quality and reliability, as well as to enhance production efficiency, and to guarantee customers’ satisfaction. You will be responsible for communicating and coordinating with Management, Product, Process, Assembly Test, and Quality Assurance groups, and external customers for product quality and reliability related issues. In addition, you will work with RMstats team as a subject matter expert (SME) to provide stats and data science consulting, project support, training, and mentoring.
Responsibilities include, but not limited
Work with RMstats team to complete routine component/system reliability testing results evaluation and reporting, including evaluation/analysis of abnormal behavior and work with relevant parties to address issues identified. Complete other requested DRAM, Mobile/Auto, NAND/mNAND, SSD, HBM, etc. reliability test data analysis and evaluation.
Work with RMstats team and other teams to complete necessary tasks to maintain and improve all analysis tools, business procedures/processes owned or developed by the team.
Collaborate with TEST, PE, GQ, and fab to address component/system tests needs for product quality reliability and production efficiency including timely evaluation and recommendation of test condition adjustment. Participation in and updating different departments’ weekly/monthly reliability meetings with necessarily follow up, providing consulting and support for reliability tests related DOE, data analysis, modeling, etc.
Use advanced stats and DS techniques to develop solutions that address the needs of quality/reliability tests at wafer, component, and system level.
Serve as the SME of Stats DS to provide companywide consulting and support in research and development of advanced stats and DS methods/procedures.
Serve as an SME to provide consulting and support to management and engineering teams from Fab, PE, Assembly Test, Global Quality, and external customers in terms of product reliability and other stats / DS related subjects.
Provide timely support to stats or data science related projects from areas across the company when requested.
Work with the company’s Technical Leadership Program (TLP), stats and DS community to support and organize company’s Stats/DS events.
Work with RMstats team to deliver scheduled data analysis courses at local sites and support the course and train the trainer needs from other areas across the company.
Work with the company’s engineering, stats, and DS community to develop engineering stats and DS training courses and training material. Work with other stats and DS teams across company to provide mentoring for TMs in promoting statistical and DS based decision making practices.
