Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:* Lead the design, development and implementation of technical solutions in multiple domains. Participate in project planning and scheduling.* Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers. May be a recognised expert (go to person) in one or more technical areas* Review, interpret and may negotiate customer requirements/specifications and provide customer feedback* Lead the deployment of strategic programs and coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.* Proactively promote industry best practices* May manage relationships with key vendors/partners.* Research systems ideas and will draw up plans for these systems* Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs.* Create designs in line with Celesticas procedures, regulations and customer standards* Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations* Solve complex problems* Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.* Recommend system modificationsElectrical:* Creation of Schematics, Bills of material, diagrams, drawings, etc.* Analysing and interpreting data and information* Creating reports and documentationMechanical:* Prepare calculations on the proposed solution before completing technical drawings. Sketch and draw up designs using input from other engineers, requirements and input from design review (DFx) team* Calculate factors like tolerance, dimensions, and thermal and structural analysis* Submit drawings to management, engineering teams and customers for review.* Provide support during the manufacturing process* Finalize designs and send prints to the production department

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:* Spearhead the pcb design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for complex, multi-domain projects.* Act as a skilled pcb engineer, offering technical solutions and directions to design peers. Will also analyze pcb assembly and recommend solutions.* Review and interpret customer requirements and specifications, and potentially serve as the secondary customer contact.* Create, modify, and improve pcb designs and techniques using Computer-aided Design (CAD) software.* Support creation and review of ECAD logical and physical libraries.* Understands and replies to pcb fabrication technical queries.* Research new system ideas, create design plans, and modify existing systems to meet both customer and Celestica's needs. Will also solve complex problems and create designs that adhere to all relevant procedures and standards.* Participate in project planning, scheduling, and design reviews. Will provide feedback and support to other engineering functions from the initial design phase through manufacturing to resolve any issues.* Keep up-to-date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations to ensure all designs and processes remain compliant.

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:* Lead PCB technical evaluation of new products, identify risks, and ensure IPC/JEDEC compliance.* Provide DFx guidance, optimize PCB stack-up, routing, and pad design for manufacturability.* Lead cross-functional teams to resolve PCBA issues (ASICs, high-frequency connectors, flatness, etc.).* Support DOE for SMT process parameters to achieve target yield in mass production.* Design PCBA verification plans, review reliability test results, and develop DOE test standards.* Support certification of alternative components, BOM updates, and PCB adaptability reviews.* Guide setup of PCBA testing in production (AOI, flying probe, calibration) and ensure equipment readiness.* Coordinate engineering resources across projects to avoid conflicts.* Conduct training, build PCB/PCBA knowledge base, and share best practices.* Explore next-gen PCB technologies (HDI, flexible PCB, VIPPO, large ASIC placement, rework) and validate feasibility.
