Analyze trace data and large-scale performance datasets to derive actionable metrics and identify critical improvement opportunities. Lead efforts to transform raw data into clear, impactful insights that drive product performance improvements. Partner with teams across the organization, providing expert guidance on performance analysis, improvement strategies, and benchmark development to ensure their code leverages performance analysis tools effectively. Design, implement, and maintain advanced performance analysis tools for Fuchsia across different architectures and products, leveraging tracing, profiling, and other techniques. In this role, you will communicate with multiple storage vendors and drive JEDEC/T10 standards to choose Universal Flash Storage (UFS) parts every year per Pixel product. Explore new storage technology and lead the storage industry. Control IOs to mitigate performance/power/stability problems on flash storages. Contribute code changes in Android framework, if required to Pixel. Maintain kernel patches across various kernel branches such as mainline, Android Open Source Project (AOSP), Pixel, and System on a Chip (SoC). Write patches for file systems or IO subsystems.
