Our mission is to simplify quant finance for participants, while they learn quant finance, AI and ML concepts. WorldQuant Brain provides an advanced crowdsourcing platform for external participants to contribute signals, data, and more to the firm. The Role: WorldQuant is seeking exceptional individuals to join as AI Researchers. In this full-time role, you will work in of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs), applying techniques to develop quantitative models for WorldQuant’s BRAIN platform. As part of this role, you will: Conduct research in AI and LLMs, experimenting with advanced architectures such as Transformer models, Reinforcement Learning, and Generative AI. Design, train, and fine-tune LLMs and other AI models to extract insights, and generate signals Apply AI concepts to create and enhance alphas on the BRAIN platform. Analyze large-scale financial datasets to seek to uncover patterns and build models using statistical, mathematical, and machine learning techniques. Collaborate with platform development teams to design and test new functionalities and datasets. Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI and LLM research, identifying opportunities to integrate them into quantitative finance applications. What You’ll Bring: Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in AI, Machine Learning (ML), and LLMs; proficiency in Python and C++; familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow. Quantitative Skills: Solid foundation in mathematics, statistics, and quantitative modeling; experience with financial datasets is a plus. Educational Background: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or related fields from a leading university. Research Mindset: Creative problem solver with a passion for experimentation and unsolved challenges; strong interest in financial markets. Collaborative Skills: Ability to work in a team-oriented culture; excellent communication and presentation skills in English. What You Can Expect Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Support the design and drive efficiency of analog blocks such as PLLs, regulators, buffers, and SERDES circuits.Use industry-standard tools (e.g., Spectre, Virtuoso, MATLAB, python) and assist in analyzing performance trade-offs.Drive processes to automate correlation of simulation results with silicon data in lab environments. AI Systems and Hardware-Aware Modeling Explore AI workflows and develop scripts/models that assist in IC calibration, prediction, or optimization.Contribute to prototyping and automation tasks involving Python, PyTorch, or other ML frameworks. System Integration Automation Participate in cross-functional work that brings together hardware, software, and algorithm layers. What We're Looking For Education Experience:Master’s degree and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, with 5+ years experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design and demonstrated expertise in applying AI/ML techniques to engineering workflows. Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in designing mixed-signal circuits such as ADCs, DACs, RX/TX, PLLs, filters, bandgap bias circuits, regulators, and other analog blocks.Knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS technologies, low-power, and high-speed design techniques.Proven ability to integrate AI/ML methods into analog/mixed-signal design processes for optimization, modeling, or automation.Solid understanding of signal processing, control theory, and/or convex optimization.Experience with IC design CAD tools (Cadence, Spectre, SPICE, Verilog) and AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow). Software Scripting Skills: Proficiency in Python and MATLAB for scripting, data analysis, and visualization.Familiarity with AI workflows and experience developing scripts/models that assist in IC calibration, prediction, or optimization. Additional Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.Lab testing experience for prototype evaluation and silicon correlation.
