John Marzka

John Marzka - Experienced Football OC and Head Coach

A New Berlin, New York-based football coach with more than three decades of experience, John Marzka began his coaching career as an offensive and defensive line coach at Erie Academy High School in 1991. He joined Allegheny College the following year as defensive line coach, assistant recruiting coordinator, and assistant academic coordinator. John Marzka became Allegheny's OL coach in 1994 and was elevated to offensive coordinator (OC) for the 1996 & 1997 seasons. The team had a win-loss record of 19-1 during his final two seasons as OC, won two conference championships and advanced to the NCAA tournament in both seasons.

John Marzka later served one season as OC, OL & TE coach at Division I Fordham University before joining Thiel College as the associate head coach, OC, and quarterback coach. He oversaw all in-game and practice activities for the NCAA DIII program's record-setting offense over a 5-year period and played a major role in creating a winning culture at Thiel. A perennial losing program prior to his arrival, the team was 23-9 during his final three seasons and won a school record 11 games in 2005, when the Tomcats won the conference championship and advanced to the 2nd round of the NCAA playoffs.

From 2007 through the 2021 seasons, John Marzka served as the head football coach, OC, and quarterback coach at a college institution in Pennsylvania. In addition to on-field activities, he oversaw football fundraising, the program's academic development, and player recruitment. He was named conference coach of the year in 2015 and garnered Nike coach of the year honors in 2009 after leading his team to an 11-2 record and national quarterfinal appearance in the NCAA playoffs. He joined the coaching staff at Milford Academy as associate head coach, OC and QB coach for the 2022 season.
