As a Student Researcher in the Data-Driven AI Research (DAIR) Group at UIT (Aug 2024–Present), I work on Generative AI, focusing on GANs and autoencoder-based models to synthesize high-fidelity handwritten images for data augmentation, develop hybrid OCR systems that integrate Vision Transformers with CNNs for improved feature extraction and sequence modeling, and design Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to strengthen knowledge-grounded reasoning and reduce hallucinations in conversational AI; I also present ongoing research in weekly seminars and mentor junior members in PyTorch and research methodology.
