As part of the Archy project and ISA, I contributed to the structural design and analysis of non-integral hydrogen tanks and fuselage shells. My work involved stress analysis under multiple load cases, including internal pressure, air and inertia loads, and thermal gradients. I also conducted buckling, fatigue, and fail-safe assessments, and developed crack propagation models using fracture mechanics. Additionally, I supported the setup and simulation of complex load scenarios in ABAQUS, including coupling constraints and thermal field applications.
Throughout the project, I explored both integral and non-integral tank design strategies, aiming to improve safety, weight efficiency, and damage tolerance in future hydrogen aircraft.
