Responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and performance testing of 210 substations across the Cairo Electricity Zone, ensuring reliable power supply of 11 gigawatts, and leading a team of 2,000 technical and maintenance employees.
Prepared technical specifications and tender documents for multiple equipment procurement memos in the Northern Zone.
Conducted evaluation, analysis, and presentation of tenders to regional, northern, and higher-level committees.
Built and developed a maintenance and operation team utilizing data analysis systems to assess and enhance the technical condition of equipment.
Improved leadership and management structures by redefining responsibilities to create an integrated and efficient team.
Introduced electronic interconnection systems between substations to facilitate communication and data exchange among departments.
Participated in the working group responsible for studying the electrical supply for the New Administrative Capital Monorail Project, and prepared all related tenders for substation expansion works at (Manshiyet Nasser – Zahraa Madinat Nasr – Demak 1 – Borouj 1 – S1 – S2 – S3).
Supervised the South High Voltage Networks Sector in the Cairo Electricity Zone and conducted studies to improve the efficiency of substations within the sector.
Supervised the implementation of the Summer 2025 Plan in the Cairo Electricity Zone to provide the required capacities for North and South Cairo Electricity Distribution Companies by:
Replacing (2) 220/66/22 kV transformers (from 125 MVA to 175 MVA) at (Obour 4 & New Haram) substations.
Adding (5) 220/66/22 kV transformers (125 MVA) at (Raswa – Katameya – Hadaeq El Ahram 2 – Hadayek October – South Cairo) substations.
Installing (13) 66/22–11 kV transformers (from 25 MVA to 40 MVA) through the transfer of existing 175 & 40 MVA units to reduce financial load for the 2025 summer plan.
Established the El-Awstaa Mobile Substation (220/66 kV – 125 MVA), which addressed the shortage of available capacities in the Hawamdiya and Badrashin areas and mitigated overloads on the 66 kV cables supplying Badrashin Substation (66/11 kV).
Installed (3) 66 kV switchgear bays at Geziret El-Dahab Substation within three months for the operation of (El-Haram & Academy of Arts) circuits and Main Transformer No. 6 (66/11 kV).
Supervised the implementation of the Summer 2026 operational plan in the Cairo Electricity Zone The plan includes the addition of two 220/66/22 kV transformer bays (175 MVA each), and the replacement of twenty 66/11 kV transformers and five 66/22 kV transformers, increasing their capacity from 25 MVA to 40 MVA.
Supervised the commissioning, testing, and energization of one 500/220/66/11 kV substation, six 220/66/11 kV substations, and two 66/11 kV substations to enhance the transmission network at 500, 220, and 66 kV levels.
