Bruce Sonnenfeld - Software Engineer at ByLight, Inc.
Bruce Sonnenfeld has worked in Web Application and Mobile Application programming for over 30 years. He is currently a Senior Software Developer at ByLight, Inc. At Bylight, Bruce Sonnenfeld creates scalable and secure J2EE- and Python-based applications for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, including setting up cloud-based infrastructure and developing solutions that comply with 508 accessibility standards.
Previously, Bruce Sonnenfeld worked as a Principal Software Developer at SAIC (via Halfaker and ByLight), where he contributed to the Program Integrity Team for fraud detection within the VA system. His technical contributions included front-end development with React and jQuery, backend engineering using Java and Node.js, and complex decision systems built with IBM ILOG/JRules. In addition to software development, he also handled deployment operations using Jenkins and containerization tools.
