I have had the privilege of actively engaging in various aspects of public health during my tenure. My responsibilities encompassed health education both within and outside the community health center (Puskesmas), including visiting local healthcare posts (Posyandu) to conduct basic health check-ups and deliver health education sessions. Additionally, I participated in the critical COVID-19 vaccination campaigns.
My role extended to mobile health outreach, utilizing healthcare center vehicles to disseminate health information. I also played a vital role in crafting health promotion materials such as posters, video promotions, banners, brochures, and leaflets. Furthermore, I was responsible for curating a year-long content calendar for the Puskesmas's social media platforms, ensuring consistent and informative health messaging.
I actively identified and prioritized prevailing health issues within the Puskesmas's operational area, contributing to targeted interventions. An innovative initiative I championed was the "Nobarvikes" (watching health videos together) program held at youth healthcare posts, aimed at educating local adolescents on maintaining clean and healthy lifestyles.
I presented the outcomes of my internship, including innovative proposals for permanent Puskesmas programs, to the Puskesmas head and staff. Completing the internship, I diligently compiled comprehensive reports and submitted them to the Puskesmas head in Panyileukan.
My experience has equipped me with a multifaceted understanding of public health practices, from community education to program development and evaluation, making me well-prepared to contribute to meaningful public health initiatives in the future.
