Work Experience

Public Health Officer

I have had the privilege of actively engaging in various aspects of public health during my tenure. My responsibilities encompassed health education both within and outside the community health center (Puskesmas), including visiting local healthcare posts (Posyandu) to conduct basic health check-ups and deliver health education sessions. Additionally, I participated in the critical COVID-19 vaccination campaigns. My role extended to mobile health outreach, utilizing healthcare center vehicles to disseminate health information. I also played a vital role in crafting health promotion materials such as posters, video promotions, banners, brochures, and leaflets. Furthermore, I was responsible for curating a year-long content calendar for the Puskesmas's social media platforms, ensuring consistent and informative health messaging. I actively identified and prioritized prevailing health issues within the Puskesmas's operational area, contributing to targeted interventions. An innovative initiative I championed was the "Nobarvikes" (watching health videos together) program held at youth healthcare posts, aimed at educating local adolescents on maintaining clean and healthy lifestyles. I presented the outcomes of my internship, including innovative proposals for permanent Puskesmas programs, to the Puskesmas head and staff. Completing the internship, I diligently compiled comprehensive reports and submitted them to the Puskesmas head in Panyileukan. My experience has equipped me with a multifaceted understanding of public health practices, from community education to program development and evaluation, making me well-prepared to contribute to meaningful public health initiatives in the future.

During my fieldwork experience in the operational area of Puskesmas Suryalaya, I undertook a systematic assessment to identify prevalent health issues within RW 12. This process involved rigorous data collection, analysis, and consultation with local stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of the community's health landscape. Subsequently, I employed evidence-based criteria and community input to prioritize the identified health problems. This data-driven approach ensured that limited resources were allocated to the most pressing issues, optimizing the impact of our interventions. In response to the unique challenges posed by the prevailing pandemic conditions, I designed and executed a tailored health program that addressed the prioritized health concerns. The program focused on promoting physical and mental well-being while accommodating the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. One of the program's key initiatives was the "Healthy Home Exercise" program, a remote fitness regimen aimed at engaging community members from the safety of their homes. I actively encouraged community participation through outreach and digital engagement strategies. To enhance program visibility and engagement, I created instructional exercise videos and distributed health promotion materials, including posters and banners, throughout the RW 12 area within the Puskesmas Suryalaya jurisdiction. Throughout this experience, meticulous record-keeping and data analysis were pivotal. I generated comprehensive reports detailing the program's achievements, lessons learned, and areas for improvement. These reports served as valuable tools for program evaluation and provided critical insights for future initiatives. This professional experience not only honed my skills in community health assessment, program development, and adaptation to challenging circumstances but also deepened my commitment to serving communities' health needs effectively.
