Neil Evan Ross, MD, is a physician and business professional with a background in anesthesiology, medical operations, and healthcare leadership. He completed his academic training at Tulane University and Tulane University School of Medicine. Throughout his career, Dr. Neil Ross has founded and managed several anesthesia practices, including Summit Anesthesia and Pinnacle Anesthesia Consultants. He currently resides in Boca Raton, Florida, where he leads Diabetic Practice Solutions LLC. Neil was born in Chicago, Illinois, and attended Ida Crown Jewish Academy for high school. After graduation, he moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, where he enrolled at Tulane University and completed a Bachelor of Science degree. He then entered Tulane University School of Medicine and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1986. These formative years prepared him for a demanding career that combined medicine with leadership. After medical school, Neil began a surgical internship at Boston University Medical Center. The experience provided valuable insight into the high-pressure environment of hospital-based care. Following this, he returned to New York to pursue a residency in anesthesiology at New York University Medical Center. His interest in the field grew, prompting him to complete a fellowship in cardiac anesthesia at NYU. The advanced training enhanced his skill set, allowing him to participate in complex procedures that required precise clinical judgment. In 1990, Neil began working with Sheridan Healthcare in Hollywood, Florida. Over the next six years, he served in several roles, including Director of Cardiac Anesthesia. He contributed to the company's growth by assisting with new contract development and supporting operations outside of Florida. Alongside his clinical responsibilities, Neil became involved in essential administrative functions, including billing systems, staff scheduling, and regulatory compliance. In 1996, Neil relocated to New Jersey and joined Summit Anesthesia Associates. The group provided anesthesia services at various hospitals, including Mountainside Hospital and Trinitas Regional Medical Center. He served as a physician and managing partner, and by 1999, he assumed the role of managing member. His responsibilities included overseeing contracts, recruiting healthcare providers, and ensuring that the practice complied with relevant healthcare regulations. Neil founded Pinnacle Anesthesia Consultants in 2008 in Livingston, New Jersey. As the owner, he was responsible for managing both business operations and clinical services for a surgery center. The practice was highly successful, generating over $3 million in annual revenue. Neil remained active in the clinical setting, providing anesthesia care, responding to emergencies, and supervising staff. In 2012, following a debilitating stroke, he stepped away from clinical practice. In 2016, Neil joined Omniscient Financial LLC, a family-owned business specializing in equipment financing and financial compliance. He contributed to the company’s operations and remained in this role until 2024. This role allowed him to apply his healthcare management knowledge in a new context. In 2024, Neil took on a leadership role with Diabetic Practice Solutions LLC. This organization was established to support healthcare providers in delivering structured diabetes care while achieving administrative and operational objectives. Neil worked to help practices improve patient outcomes while also supporting better financial performance. Although he no longer practices medicine, Neil retains a medical license in Florida, which is currently inactive. He is a member of the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. His board certification in anesthesiology was first earned in 1991 and voluntarily renewed in 2008. In 2019, Neil relocated to Boca Raton, Florida, after spending over twenty years in New Jersey. This transition allowed him to be closer to family and shift his focus to new professional pursuits. Outside of work, he continues to lift weights regularly for physical wellness and enjoys wine collecting. Neil also supports several synagogues as part of his ongoing community involvement.
