Dr. Seth A. Eidemiller is a board-certified emergency physician with a background that includes farming, fire service, and extensive medical training. He grew up on a fourth-generation dairy farm in Idaho, gaining early work experience in wildfire suppression and construction. Later, he pursued degrees in International Studies and Spanish and continued his education by completing medical school at the University of Nevada, Reno. Afterward, he trained in emergency medicine during his residency in Fresno. He now holds the position of Vice Chair at the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group.
He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Idaho and added laboratory sciences to his knowledge while completing medical prerequisites in Boise. During this time, he worked as a lab instructor and manager and also spent three years involved in biomedical research focused on systems biology and human health.
Before starting his career in medicine, he worked with the U.S. Forest Service as a wildland firefighter and in construction, gaining practical skills in carpentry and electrical systems. He also worked in restaurants, developing the ability to multitask and manage customer needs in high-pressure situations.
He entered the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 2012 and graduated in 2016. His clinical training encompassed a range of specialties, including general medicine, pediatrics, surgery, psychiatry, and internal medicine. He was then matched to an emergency medicine residency at UCSF-Fresno, one of California’s busiest emergency departments. Here, he learned airway management, resuscitation, and bedside ultrasound while caring for patients with acute injuries and chronic health problems.
While finishing residency, he also worked at Mercy Medical Center in Merced, handling various emergency cases. In 2020, he joined the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group and, by 2024, became Vice Chair, overseeing scheduling, logistics, staff support, and quality measures. He continues to work clinical shifts and keeps his skills current by working moonlighting shifts at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.
He is board-certified, holds a California medical license, and maintains all required credentials. His clinical skills include advanced airway procedures and clear communication with both colleagues and patients. Fluent in Spanish, he connects directly with many families.
Dr. Seth Eidemiller is committed to giving back through volunteer work, stays active through cycling, enjoys cooking and home projects, and finds value in travel and observing new environments.
