Director of Maintenance in Corporation Aviation Management
Evan McKeirnan has dedicated nearly thirty years to the corporate aviation industry, driven by a deep passion for aircraft that began during his high school years. His aviation journey started with formal education at Spokane Community College in Washington, where he earned his FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificates and an Associate degree in Applied Science—Aviation Maintenance. This solid foundation set the stage for his extensive aviation career. In addition to his A&P certification, Evan holds Inspection Authorization (IA), FAA Private Pilot, and Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) Remote Pilot certifications. Specialized training, including Gulfstream G450 and G550 courses through FlightSafety International, has enhanced his technical expertise. Throughout his career, Evan has received numerous honors, such as the FAA Silver and Bronze Awards, the AMT Society's “NextGen 40 under 40” recognition, and the FlightSafety Savannah Top Troubleshooter Award, underscoring his commitment to excellence in aviation. Evan’s career began in 1999 as a Crew Chief in Van Nuys, California, working on Gulfstream aircraft. This initial role allowed him to learn the ins and outs of aircraft maintenance and safety. Over the years, his expertise led him to advanced roles, including Chief Inspector and Maintenance Technician, where he worked on a diverse fleet of aircraft. These positions helped him develop the skills required for leadership roles, such as West Coast Maintenance Manager and Director of Maintenance at various aviation companies, where he managed the maintenance and safety of Gulfstream aircraft fleets. At Western Jet Aviation, where he served as Chief Inspection and Maintenance Supervisor, Evan led inspection and maintenance teams, ensuring the highest standards of safety for Gulfstream aircraft. He worked on significant projects with high-profile organizations, including NASA and Lockheed Martin, contributing to the success of various aerospace initiatives. Evan’s leadership was further showcased in roles at Prime Jet and Aero Cadre/Monza Aviation, where he oversaw the maintenance of Gulfstream aircraft operating worldwide, managing everything from aircraft delivery to compliance with international aviation regulations. Currently, Evan is the Maintenance Supervisor at Solairus Aviation, where he continues to ensure the airworthiness and safety of private jets. He is committed to ongoing professional development, regularly participating in training programs related to Gulfstream GVI-G650 maintenance and aviation safety practices. Outside of his aviation career, Evan McKeirnan is a competitive offroad motorcycle racer, participating in the AMA District 37 Grand Prix and Desert series. His success in racing mirrors his commitment to excellence in every area of his life. Evan is also deeply committed to mentoring aspiring aviation professionals and assisting students and young A&Ps as they begin their careers. His dedication to the aviation industry and the next generation of professionals has left a lasting impact on the field.
