Francis Sedgwick Barassi was born in Tucson, Arizona, on January 11, 1967. In 2003, Francis began his journey with Convergys Corporation as the Director for LATAM North. His leadership was instrumental in establishing the regional headquarters in Northern Latin America and driving substantial sales growth. His strategic vision and management skills resulted in the profitable build-out of the regional headquarters, marking the beginning of his impactful career in the corporate world. His ability to navigate and succeed in challenging markets demonstrated his exceptional capabilities and set the stage for his subsequent professional achievements. Later, in 2003, Barassi joined Edocs, Inc. as the Director of Latin American Sales and Operations. He was pivotal in opening the Latin American market for Edocs, generating a robust pipeline of prospects, and securing significant contracts within his first year. His success in this role showcased his talent for driving growth in new and emerging markets. His efforts were crucial in establishing Edocs' presence in the region and demonstrated his prowess in expanding business operations effectively. In 2005, Francis transitioned to Oracle Corporation, where he initially served as the Regional Director for LACA—Self-Service. His role involved integrating Doc's self-service products into the Sievel sales organization, achieving remarkable sales growth. He then became the Applications Sales Director for the Communications Global Business Unit, where he managed the most significant single license sale in CGBU history and achieved record sales. From 2011 to 2017, he held various vice president roles at Oracle, founding TOA Technologies' Latin America business and leading it to significant revenue growth. After Oracle acquired TOA Technologies, he managed Oracle's field service business for Latin America and the Caribbean, achieving substantial growth in ACV bookings and expanding into new verticals. In 2017, Francis took on the role of Vice President for Southern Europe at ClickSoftware. He played a crucial role in reorganizing Click's sales and account management organization in Southern Europe, achieving notable successes such as signing new logos and managing key accounts. His strategic leadership and business acumen were instrumental in driving the company's growth and establishing a solid market presence in the region. Barassi's career continued to flourish as he joined OverIT USA, Inc. in 2020 as the Vice President for North America. In this role, he expanded OverIT's presence by recruiting and onboarding a seasoned sales team and closing significant deals within the first few months. His contributions were crucial in establishing a solid foothold for OverIT in the North American market. In 2021, Francis became the Vice President for North America Energy, Utilities & Resources at IFS North America. He successfully integrated the Clevest sales team into IFS, achieving impressive annual growth and securing strategic wins at significant utility companies. His efforts further solidified IFS's presence in the market, demonstrating his ability to lead and innovate in a competitive industry. Currently, Francis serves as the Vice President of Enterprise Software North America at Hitachi Energy. In this role, he leverages his extensive experience in enterprise software and energy solutions to drive growth and innovation.
