1. Vice President – NTHU IBP Summer Camp 2024.
Co-led camp planning, execution, and oversaw multiple divisions: Accommodation, TA, Finance, Student Support, Activity. Also, managed international participants and organized interactive activities.
2. ELTA Program (English Language Teaching Assistant) - lesson preparation, competition trainer, extracurricular activity planning, etc.
3. NTHU Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Global Students Association (EECS-GSA) - students affair division member
4. NTHU CV Lab student - taking computer vision related lab for doing undergraduate final project. My proposed topic is an AI-powered assistive vision system for the visually impaired by combining scene understanding and depth estimation to enhance spatial awareness and safety during navigation. Using deep learning models for image captioning, object detection, and monocular depth estimation, the system interprets real-world environments and provides real-time audio feedback describing nearby objects and their relative positions. The goal is to offer a portable, intuitive tool—potentially deployable on mobile or wearable devices—that empowers visually impaired users to better understand and interact with their surroundings independently.
5. Pursuing Professional Chinese Proficiency
As part of my university journey, I have committed to mastering the Chinese language by enrolling in Chinese classes every semester, starting from zero proficiency. The program consists of 12 levels(初級一,二,三;中級一,二,三;中高級一,二,三;高級一,二,三), and I have completed 9 so far, reaching an estimated B1–B2 level. My goal is to complete all levels within 8 semesters. To further prepare for future professional opportunities, I am also taking Business Chinese (商用華語), which focuses on workplace vocabulary, formal communication, and interview preparation—equipping me with the necessary language skills for a professional setting in Mandarin-speaking environments.
6. AI/ML Courses – Took classes related to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Have done several projects related to some machine learning model, and have done a project entitled as Multimodal Depression Detection (Early detection for depression using speech and facial features data).
简介
I am currently a third-year undergraduate in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at NTHU. With a GPA of 3.99/4.3, I rank in the top 3 of my department and have been on the Dean’s List multiple times. Beyond academics, I actively seek growth through leadership and community work. As Vice Coordinator of the NTHU International Summer Camp, I helped design and manage a global program for high school students, gaining experience in project planning, intercultural communication, and team leadership.
Technically, I’ve worked on machine learning projects ranging from CNN-based pulmonary disease prediction to implementation of computer vision to locate license plate. I’ve also developed a system to detect mental health conditions via speech and facial cues—reinforcing my skills in Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch, and fueling my passion for innovation that serves society.
To support myself and stay grounded, I work part-time as an English teacher, sharpening my communication and adaptability. I also challenged myself to learn Chinese from scratch, eventually reaching the highest level offered in college—because I believe true connection starts with language.
What sets me apart is not just my technical background or academic record, but my resilience and long-term vision. Choosing NTHU meant committing to a year-by-year scholarship renewal—a risk I took willingly to invest in my future. I bring that same mindset to every challenge: disciplined, ambitious, and ready to grow.
Long term, I plan to pursue a master’s degree in AI or project management and lead projects that apply technology to real-world challenges—from healthcare to smart manufacturing, and other fields.
