Jessica Lee Chicago UPS Store
Jessica Lee of Chicago UPS Store is an inspiring entrepreneur, business consultant, and community leader in Chicago. As the owner of two successful UPS stores in the city’s Northside, she has established herself as a businesswoman who values growth and profitability and is equally committed to positively impacting her community. A deaf single mother of two, Jessica’s entrepreneurial journey has been one of overcoming personal challenges, breaking barriers, and paving the way for others—particularly those from marginalized backgrounds—to find success.
Born in South Korea, Jessica immigrated to the United States with her family, determined to forge her path in a new country. She became the first person in her family to pursue small-business ownership. She has focused on providing opportunities and support to often-overlooked individuals through her businesses. A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Jessica has prioritized employing individuals from underrepresented groups, including those from the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants, and people seeking a second chance. Her businesses reflect her belief that success is not just about financial growth—it’s about creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered.
Jessica’s academic background is as diverse as her entrepreneurial ventures. Before earning an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology, she studied Biochemistry, Business Law, and Accounting at the University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) and DePaul University. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Jessica is equipped with the financial expertise needed to navigate the complexities of business ownership, ensuring her companies are financially sound while remaining deeply committed to social responsibility.
Before she transitioned to owning UPS stores, Jessica’s entrepreneurial path included running a variety of nightclubs, bars, and restaurants in her twenties. These early ventures, though challenging, provided invaluable lessons in leadership, innovation, and customer service. They also reinforced her belief in the power of community and the importance of creating businesses that reflect the diversity of the people they serve.
Through her businesses, Jessica continues to be a catalyst for change, demonstrating that entrepreneurial success can go hand in hand with social good. She remains deeply committed to fostering an environment where everyone—regardless of background—can thrive.
