Jim Feldkamp, a native of Roseburg, Oregon, began his distinguished path by obtaining a BS in Business from Oregon State University. His military career started in the U.S. Navy, where he served as a naval flight officer, specializing in roles such as Countermeasures Officer and Navigator aboard the EA-6B. His service included crucial operations from the USS Midway during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm in 1991.
Following his naval tenure, Feldkamp joined the FBI as a Special Agent in Norfolk, Virginia. Here, he was pivotal in establishing the Tidewater Joint Terrorism Task Force and was one of the designated pilots for aerial surveillance. His commitment to public service continued when he ran for U.S. Congress as the Republican candidate for Oregon's 4th Congressional District in 2004 and 2006.
In 2007, James Feldkamp was recalled to active duty to assist in the creation of what would eventually be known as the National Maritime Intelligence-Integration Office (NMIO).
