Lennox Cummings interned as a Tax/Accounting Intern at a Charleston-based advisory firm, where he enhanced his knowledge of financial planning and gained proficiency in QuickBooks and Intuit Tax software. He prepared tax returns for 17 C corporations, achieving a 13-day average turnaround, and more than 200 families, with a 5-day average turnaround. His work helped maintain a 100% client retention rate and avoid audits.
Before that, he interned at a finance and client relations firm in Charleston, South Carolina. Despite sharing his last name with the firm, they are not related. He helped manage 137 client accounts and supported financial reviews and fee audits for assets exceeding $400 million.
Cummings is a certified Public Notary in South Carolina. Additionally, he worked as an Inside Sales Intern for a real estate company, making 250 calls daily using Sierra Interactive to identify potential buyers and sellers, achieving a 7% lead qualification rate.
In the summer of 2023, he worked as a Store Experience Guide for an outdoor gear retailer, frequently surpassing daily sales goals of $15,000. He also worked as a Server Assistant at a seafood restaurant. He served as District Manager for a landscaping company in North Carolina, managing finances for over 60 properties across three counties. His first job was as a cashier at the age of 16 in Asheville, where he also contributed to social media marketing efforts.
John Lennox attended an all-boys boarding school in Asheville, where he was a Headmaster Scholar and a member of the National Honor Society.
