Marc Korenberg

SVP, Finance, Biotech / Life sciences
Marc A. Korenberg is a seasoned finance executive with a diverse career spanning over 24 years. His experience ranges from corporate finance and business operations to private and public sector leadership. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong ability to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and lead teams through complex challenges. His strategic mindset and focus on results have earned him a reputation as a trusted and capable leader. Marc’s professional journey began after he graduated from the University of Vermont in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Business. He further honed his financial expertise by earning an MBA in Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management. His early career took him to UBS Investment Bank in New York, where he worked in corporate finance. At UBS, he was involved in developing financial strategies for high-level management, which allowed him to build a strong foundation in financial planning and analysis. In the wake of the September 11 attacks in 2001, Marc made the life-changing decision to leave the corporate finance world and enlist in the United States Army. He attended Infantry school, followed by Airborne Paratrooper jump school, and ultimately served with the 82nd Airborne Division. His service in the Army provided him with invaluable leadership experience and a deep appreciation for discipline, teamwork, and resilience—qualities that would influence his professional career for years to come. After completing his military service, Marc shifted his focus back to business. He joined a family-owned motorcycle dealership in Bear, Delaware, where he initially worked in sales before transitioning to the finance department. Drawing on his financial background, he quickly became the General Manager for Sales and Finance. In this role, he was instrumental in improving the company’s financial performance and operational efficiency. 2012 Marc returned to finance when he joined Zeltiq Aesthetics in California. Starting as a Business and Financial Analyst, his responsibilities quickly grew, and he was promoted to Director of Commercial Operations. He managed various operational teams in this role, including marketing, customer service, and business intelligence. His leadership and ability to streamline processes contributed significantly to the company’s growth, and he was later promoted to Director of Finance and Operations. His contributions were recognized with the CEO Award for Excellence following Zeltiq’s acquisition by Allergan in 2017. In 2018, Marc joined Revance Therapeutics, where he played a key role in the company’s shift from clinical to commercial operations. As Senior Vice President of Finance, he worked on financial strategy, business operations, and managing partnerships. In late 2023, he was appointed Deputy to the CFO, where he continued to lead Revance’s financial operations and contributed to its upcoming merger with Crown Laboratories. Marc Korenberg's interests outside of work include his passion for sports, especially following Boston’s professional teams. He is also committed to philanthropy, supporting causes like the ASPCA and The Gratitude Network, an organization that helps disadvantaged children. Marc A. Korenberg’s career is a testament to his adaptability, leadership, and determination. His diverse experiences in finance, military service, and business operations have equipped him with a unique skill set that continues to drive success in every role he undertakes.
