Developed all of the organization’s graphic design materials and campaigns, managed and updated 3 organizational WordPress websites, and collaborated with Spanish-speaking coworkers in Peru and Bolivia to promote the conservation of the Amazon Rainforest. Executed a wide range of marketing and design tasks as 1 of 2 people on the communications team. Key contributions include:
-Graphic design and branding, including designing annual and donor reports, large format banners, monthly e-mail newsletters, postcard mailings, Powerpoint presentations, and graphics to promote the conservation of the Amazon Rainforest. Designed layout and selected photos for Amazon Rainforest exhibition at the Peruvian embassy in July 2022.
-Web design and maintenance, where I managed and updated 3 organizational websites, ensuring effective content management; designed custom graphics, new pages, and standardized photos; and focused on improving accessibility and consistent brand identity. Additionally, I wrote 3-4 stories for the website every month, transforming complicated scientific grant text into digestible blog posts for a general audience.
-Campaign design and execution, including developing fundraising campaigns and creating associated impactful digital assets and outreach materials, such as a targeted Earth Day campaign that resulted in a 47% increase in donations over previous year (2020-2021).
-Social media and digital content, designing engaging graphics for 4 social media platforms, driving 15%-37% growth in followers and significantly increasing online visibility. Developed and executed several social media ad campaigns.
-Video and motion graphics, editing promotional videos and animated graphics for social media, enhancing audience engagement and brand recognition.
-Collaboration and strategy with Spanish-speaking colleagues in Peru and Bolivia, to ensure organizational alignment, develop messaging strategy, and gather information for success stories for donors.
