Michael Rastiello

Logistics and Transportation
Michael Rastiello has spent nearly his entire life in Dover, New Jersey, where his personal and professional journeys have taken root and grown over decades. Although he relocated to Florida in 2021, the move proved temporary. By 2023, he made the intentional decision to return to New Jersey, drawn by the closeness of family and the steady presence of a community he was familiar with. At 66 years old, he values his role as a husband of 44 years, a father to three children, and a grandfather to four, embracing a life grounded in connection and purpose. A defining aspect of his life has been a deep commitment to routine and discipline. These values have remained constant, reflected in his long-standing dedication to personal health and fitness. This disciplined lifestyle shaped his outlook on work, relationships, and community involvement. He believes in consistency, in doing the right thing even when no one is watching, and in staying committed over time, not for accolades, but because it’s how he believes things should be done. His academic foundation began with Kennedy Western University and the Academy of Advanced Transportation. While these programs introduced him to the principles of logistics, the real learning took place over the course of decades of hands-on experience in the field. He has always placed greater value on lessons gained from repetition, hard work, and facing real-world challenges directly. His professional career spanned over thirty years in logistics, culminating in a long-standing role as Director of Logistics and Transportation at Casio America. For 24 years, he led efforts to manage and streamline global transportation networks. The position required sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and a steady approach to managing large-scale operations. His contributions were acknowledged when he was named Employee of the Year twice, in 2005 and 2009. These recognitions weren’t the goal, but they reflected the steady trust his colleagues placed in him. Outside of his professional life, he dedicated himself to mentoring young athletes through coaching. He led the Rockaway Township Football Program for over two decades and spent 34 years coaching football at both the youth and high school levels. He also committed 10 years to coaching softball and five years to baseball, helping guide teams to championships and undefeated seasons. Yet for him, the focus was never on wins—it was on personal growth, teamwork, and teaching life lessons through sport. His impact in youth athletics earned formal recognition through a nomination to the Morris County Youth Football Hall of Fame and a proclamation from the Mayor of Rockaway Township, celebrating his leadership and service to the community. These honors speak to the long-term commitment he brought to every team, every player, and every practice. Now retired, he remains active and engaged, continuing to support causes he cares about, such as the ASPCA and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. His contributions are made without fanfare, guided by a quiet conviction to help where he can. Retirement has given him more time to focus on his health, enjoy time with his grandchildren, and reflect on the journey he’s taken—still living by the same values that guided him through every chapter of his life. He has never been one to seek attention. His leadership has always been measured by dependability and consistency. Whether managing global logistics or mentoring youth on the football field, he led by doing the work, showing up, and keeping his word. The life and work of Michael Rastiello stand as an example of how lasting influence is built—not in headlines or grand gestures, but through quiet dedication, steady effort, and a commitment to doing right by others over time.
