Officer Ian King is a proud Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy graduate. His training included a rigorous 20-week course at the organization's Columbus-based facility, where he received his Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) certification. King's love for law enforcement started early, and he completed his training at the academy only a few months after his 21st birthday. He remains among the youngest recruits to have finished the program.
Aside from his work as a highway patrol officer, King is a talented and lifelong artist. He inherited his love of art from his grandfather, an acclaimed artist and sculptor. King is most famous for his graffiti-inspired illustrations, for which he has won several high-profile awards. He is also an adept sculptor and often draws inspiration from his work in law enforcement, his Ohio upbringing, and his passion for electronic music.
In addition to his artistic pursuits, Officer King actively supports several important charities, nonprofits, and good causes. These include 4 Paws For Ability, Crayons to Classrooms, and the YMCA of Central Ohio. He is also a keen volunteer advocate, regularly lending time to community-focused charitable initiatives in and around Cincinnati.
Officer Ian was born in southwestern Ohio in 1993 and grew up in Beavercreek with his two identical brothers and an older sister. He enjoys aircraft spotting, cycling, golf, motocross, and spending time outdoors in his free time. He learned to play golf with his brothers and stepfather and still regularly plays with them. He is also a lifelong music lover with a particular passion for electronica.
