Paul Daugerdas, originally from Wilmette, Illinois, is a distinguished consultant, attorney, and certified public accountant recognized for his extensive expertise in the financial, legal, and accounting sectors. Throughout his career, he has not only excelled professionally but also dedicated considerable efforts to philanthropy, profoundly impacting various charitable organizations.
Daugerdas's commitment to academic excellence is evident from his early education at St. Laurence High School in Burbank, Illinois, where he graduated with honors in 1968. He furthered his education at De Paul University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with honors in 1972. That same year, he received his CPA Certificate from the University of Illinois. Continuing his pursuit of higher education, he obtained a Juris Doctor degree cum laude from De Paul University's College of Law in 1974.
Beginning his career at Arthur Andersen & Co., Daugerdas advanced from a staff member to a partner by 1984. His tenure at Arthur Andersen spanned two decades, during which he held pivotal roles, including head of the Central Region Financial Markets Team and member of the Financial Valuation Services Specialty Team. In 1994, he joined the Law Offices of Altheimer & Gray as a partner, where he led the Tax Department and served on the Steering Committee. Later, at Jenkens & Gilchrist, he co-directed the Tax Practice and managed the Chicago office as a Shareholder/Partner from 1999 to 2002. In 2003, he transitioned to a consulting role as managing director at Treasurex Financial, offering his profound expertise until 2014.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Paul Daugerdas has significantly contributed to charitable efforts. He was crucial at The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Illinois, serving as Chairman and President in 2002 and 2003. His involvement with the foundation extended from 1996 to 2008, during which he also participated as a Board Member, Treasurer, Finance Committee Member, and Wish Granter. His philanthropic reach extends beyond Make-A-Wish, as he has supported various museums and civic organizations since the mid-1970s.
