Peyton Murphy, an attorney in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, handles personal injury cases through Murphy Law Firm, LLC. Having graduated from Louisiana State University and Tulane University, he has been working in the legal field for over three decades, starting with his year-long role as a law clerk for a state district judge in Connecticut. Peyton Murphy later spent a brief period at an insurance defense law firm in Louisiana before establishing his own law firm and focusing on plaintiff representation in personal injury matters.
Outside his work as an attorney helping people in the legal realm, Mr. Murphy and his law firm have been active supporters of the Baton Rouge community during the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to stop the spread of the virus, he gave away face masks to those in need. He did this by partnering with several other local organizations, such as Youth Committee BR and Rock N Roll Sushi. Such giveaway efforts quickly spurred additional community support.
In partnership with the United Cajun Navy, the law firm delivered medical gear to four hospitals in the area, including North Oaks Health Systems and Lane Regional Medical Center, along with several parishes. This included hand sanitizer, face shields, and face masks. The partnership also supported the donation of these safety materials to retirement communities and complexes for the elderly in Baton Rouge. Peyton Murphy also distributed 2,000 KN95 masks through his firm to people who were high risk.
