Phil Healy of Chicago is a senior analyst with experience in tax consulting, fund finance, and international financial operations. Raised in a multilingual home by a Brazilian mother and an American father, he speaks English, French, and Portuguese.
Phil studied at the University of Notre Dame, earning a degree in Accounting with a second major in French. During his time there, he was involved in student radio, the squash club, and volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club of St. Joseph County. He later earned a Master’s in Accountancy with a concentration in Tax Services from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business.
Phil started his career in 2019 at Deloitte Tax in Chicago. Specializing in multistate tax services, he was promoted to Senior Tax Consultant in 2021. His responsibilities included reviewing complex tax filings, guiding team workflows, and mentoring junior staff. His role also involved research, compliance, and planning for corporate and partnership clients.
Later in 2021, Phil transitioned to a fund finance analyst role at a private investment firm. There, he maintained accounting records for private equity funds, reviewed financial statements, and managed capital transactions. He worked closely with tax, legal, and treasury teams, supporting both internal and client-facing functions.
In 2023, Phil joined an energy firm as a senior analyst in international finance. His focus included cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and managing intercompany financial activity. He helped coordinate between the Chicago office and global teams, while also analyzing loan interest rates using data from the Bloomberg Terminal. He remained in this role until 2025.
His dedication to community service began in high school, where Phil volunteered at Gilda’s Club of Chicago. In college, he served at L’Arche in Forest Park and continued volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club. He also supported Brave Space Alliance, an LGBTQ+ center on Chicago’s South Side.
In his personal life, Phil enjoys music, plays the piano, is learning to play the guitar, and follows local sports. He also cares for two cats at home.
