Philip Garland founded Lexington Land Developers in 1981, a residential land development company based in Lancaster, PA. With over four decades in the business, he has created numerous beautiful housing developments across the Keystone State, including notable projects like a 122-unit multi-residential development and other sizable projects with 98, 45, and 46 units. His entrepreneurial spirit not only built his company from the ground up but also enabled him to assist others in launching their ventures, exemplified by his funding of Reed Concrete. Garland graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in 1981, where he studied carpentry. He excelled in receiving the school’s most prestigious award—an honor bestowed annually since 1920 to only one outstanding graduate. His time at the college was also marked by leadership in sports, as he served as team captain for cross-country and indoor track teams. Throughout his career, Garland has maintained a strong connection to his alma mater, donating regularly and serving on the Alumni Foundation and Association Boards for fourteen years, dedicating a decade as treasurer. He has extended his leadership to coaching youth lacrosse for eight years, culminating his coaching by giving each player a motivational poster promising a future reward for their adherence to its values. His personal life is grounded in family and community service. Married since 2002, he has raised two boys and a stepson, instilling in them the values of hard work and commitment. His involvement in the Boy Scouts of America has been profound, including earning the distinguished Order of the Arrow as an adult in 2022 and witnessing his son achieve the Eagle Scout Award in May 2024. Garland's compassion extends beyond his immediate family, as seen when he supported his stepson through recovery from alcohol dependency and helped his nephew redirect his life towards education and a stable career by enrolling him back in school and eventually into Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. Philip Garland also dedicates his time and resources to various causes, including volunteering with Boy Scouts, donating to needy children, and supporting local community services like fire departments and schools. His commitment to fitness remains robust as he continues to be a top runner in his age group, exemplifying his dedication to personal health and perseverance.
