Born November 8, 2002, in Rochester, New York, Ryan Gustin has always exhibited a profound passion for engineering, leadership, and community service. As a Civil Engineering student at Penn State, Ryan Gustin Penn State has demonstrated a strong commitment to his academic and extracurricular endeavors, constantly striving to blend technical skills with a deep sense of social responsibility. Starting his educational journey at Plank Road North Elementary in Webster, NY, he was actively involved in sports and technological pursuits. Early on, his engagement with Lego robotics ignited a passion for engineering, which he carried through his formative years, blending it with a natural leadership that emerged in his school activities. His academic path continued at McQuaid Jesuit High School in Rochester, where he fully embraced the school's ethos of serving and leading. As a robotics team leader, he spearheaded the design and construction of a robot's climbing mechanism that was showcased at competitions, earning the team prestigious accolades such as the "Excellence in Engineering" award. This project highlighted his engineering skills and ability to lead and inspire a team. In addition to his leadership in robotics, he mastered the CNC mill, transforming digital blueprints into physical, functional components from various materials, enhancing his practical engineering skills.
