As an English Language Arts teacher for third and fourth graders at Nash Elementary, Sabrina Cowling employs various pedagogical techniques to engage and challenge her students. Her previous role at Eugene Field Elementary as a fifth-grade math and science teacher saw her leading the FUSE program, where she integrated STEAM learning to spark student interest in technology and the arts through innovative, project-based learning.
Before her impactful work at Eugene Field, Sabrina taught at Beasley Academic Center, where she significantly improved student outcomes in math and reading. Her leadership there included heading gifted education programs and initiating professional development workshops for her peers, enhancing the instructional skills of the faculty.
Sabrina's educational foundation was laid at Roosevelt University Chicago, where she earned a BA in Professional Studies. She furthered her credentials with a post-baccalaureate certification in Elementary Education from Western Governors University. In addition to being an Illinois Teacher Type 3 certified educator, she is Google-certified. She has completed LBS1 training, preparing her to better assist students across a spectrum of learning and behavioral conditions.

Her culinary passion drives her to experiment with diverse recipes and host gatherings showcasing her latest dishes.
Sabrina’s interests extend beyond cooking to include salsa dancing, photography, and painting, hobbies that reflect her creative spirit and love for continuous learning. Recently, she has taken on the challenge of learning Spanish, further broadening her communicative abilities and cultural understanding.
