Samantha Foss was always surrounded by music. Her parents loved to listen to and sing classic rock and soul songs around the house, so it was no surprise that she developed a love for music at an early age. During this time, Foss recorded with several bands and even wrote and released solo albums under various names. These included The Sam Foss Experiment, albums under her name, Soul Sisters, and The Blues Shouters. They sold consistently throughout the Chicago area and made it easier for her to tour the Midwest Region, including in Indianapolis and Detroit.
