Taylor Leese, a systems engineer from San Francisco, worked for a social media platform before moving to LinkedIn in 2022. In 2024, Taylor Leese and a partner launched Milos Ventures, an investment company.
Mr. Leese worked in a series of roles before working for LinkedIn, such as software developer at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, computer scientist with the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and engineering manager at StackMob. At LinkedIn, beginning in 2022, he was the senior director of Grid Storage & Streams, where his major accomplishment was seeing the company through its transition from the program Kafka to Northguard and leading a Kubernetes deployment. His other interests in these areas are distributed systems, platform structure, computer infrastructure, and storage systems.
Mr. Leese’s role at Milos Ventures involves investing in AI, robotics, defense, energy, and CleanTech companies. As it stands, he and his partner have invested in companies such as Lambda, Rescale, Haize Labs, and Luma AI. Other investment interests are angel investing, real estate investing, and cryptocurrency.
His holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of San Francisco and a master’s degree from the University of Chicago. Away from work, Mr. Leese enjoys playing tennis.
