Winthrop Edward Jeanfreau is an entrepreneur, executive leader, and civic educator with over three decades of experience in fields including manufacturing, finance, education, and firearms training. Throughout his career, he has founded 12 companies, successfully exited eight, and created a cumulative revenue impact of more than $680 million. His professional background spans roles as a business founder, university executive, and certified instructor in multiple disciplines. He is also a published writer and a respected voice in constitutional education, committed to teaching knowledge and preparation as foundations for growth.
Win Jeanfreau earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication with a minor in Business from the University of Utah before completing an MBA at the University of Oregon. These studies provided the skills that would help him launch, grow, and lead organizations across different industries.
His entrepreneurial career began in the 1990s with Kameleon International, a vending franchise system that grew to 10 states. Through proprietary intellectual property and a detailed franchise training model, he ensured 100% franchisee longevity, an uncommon achievement in franchising. The company was eventually sold after becoming a stable and profitable enterprise. At the same time, Win co-owned Shred-it Oregon, a branch of a global document destruction company. Within a competitive network of over 100 locations, his branch became the fastest-growing and most profitable. He led sales efforts for three years, achieving record-breaking results before selling the business at a strong return.
In 1999, he launched Aperion Audio, a direct-to-consumer high-fidelity audio company. Well before online retail became the norm, he recognized the potential of digital platforms to connect directly with customers. Jeanfreau oversaw product design, manufacturing, and marketing, positioning the brand as a global player with award-winning products. The company was later sold, marking another successful chapter in his entrepreneurial journey.
He went on to co-found a financial services firm that later merged with one of Oregon’s top independent wealth management companies. His unique approach included offering financial literacy seminars through community colleges, which expanded educational opportunities while helping clients receive trusted advice. Eventually, the business was acquired and merged into a national advisory firm.
From 2013 to 2018, Win worked at Utah Valley University, serving in several leadership positions, including Acting Associate Vice-President of Academic Outreach and Economic Development. Under his leadership, the Business Resource Center generated more than $20 million in capital infusion and supported the creation of 143 jobs in three years.
In recent years, he has focused on firearms instruction and constitutional education. As a certified instructor and Constitution Coach, he emphasizes firearms safety, accuracy, and situational awareness while also teaching citizens about their constitutional rights and responsibilities. His expertise spans handguns, rifles, and shotguns, with training that combines technical skills and civic understanding.
Beyond business and education, he has served his community and faith. Jeanfreau completed a mission in New England for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, spent six years as a Scoutmaster, and served four years as a Civil Air Patrol Captain. He also continues to support charitable causes and serves on the Women’s Leadership Forum board.
He holds numerous professional certifications in business, finance, and leadership training. His contributions as a writer, speaker, and radio guest have further expanded his impact by sharing practical insights into entrepreneurship and economic development. In his personal life, he enjoys hiking, scuba diving, tennis, motorcycling, flying, and spending time on the water with family. Win Jeanfreau has built a career defined not only by professional success but also by service, education, and commitment to community.
