A psychologist and founder of Heart to Heart Counseling and Wellness Center, PLLC, Shenae Whitehead has dedicated her career to providing psychological services for children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on trauma-informed care. Shenae Whitehead offers therapy using evidence-based methods such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and Theraplay. She also conducts psychological testing for conditions including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, depression, and anxiety. Additionally, she performs Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) disability exams and military evaluations.

Dr. Whitehead is the chief executive officer of the Stacy Jones Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization she founded to empower foster children, low-income families, and young women pursuing education. The foundation provides scholarships, school supplies, holiday gifts, and other resources to children in need. She also volunteers with organizations such as Meals on Wheels.

Recognized as one of Fayetteville’s 40 Under 40 in 2020, Dr. Whitehead is a member of multiple professional associations, including the American Psychological Association and the North Carolina Psychological Association. She holds a doctor of philosophy in clinical psychology from Fielding Graduate University. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family.
