RoAnn Costin is an investment executive in Massachusetts who leverages her financial acumen to direct early-stage investments in consumer retail and nondurable product businesses through Wilderness Point Investments. The private equity company’s managing director since 2005, she also belongs to the boards of Lululemon Athletica, City Sports, Alvin Valley, and Sarah Flint. Additionally, RoAnn Costin spent 25 years presiding over the Wilderness Point Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the arts, education, and human services.
Ms. Costin's executive experience in private equity also includes a three-year post as the senior vice president of Putnam Investments. Moreover, she was the first woman partner at State Street Research & Management, where she conducted research for investment coverage of the banking, finance, consumer, and publishing industries. She was also a member of its equity investment policy committee, which managed $6 billion of equity assets.
In addition to her investment and corporate board engagements, RoAnn Costin serves on the boards of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Cambridge Health Alliance, and the Perkins School for the Blind, among other organizations. In the past, she has held this position with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and USA Water Polo.
