The founder and chief executive officer of Denali Venture Philanthropy in Boulder, Colorado, Robert "Bo" Parfet embarked on his career as a postgraduate research fellow with the Financial Accounting Standards Board in the early 2000s. Subsequently accepting an investment banking position with JP Morgan, he set the remarkable goal of climbing the highest summit on every continent. Although he continues to build upon his legacy as a high-altitude ski mountaineer, Robert Parfet has not only completed his tour of the world’s tallest peaks, but he helped a scientific team discover 29 species on a return trip to Africa’s Mount Kilimanjaro.
Building upon leadership lessons that he has learned as both a business administrator and a ski mountaineer in Colorado and beyond, Robert “Bo” Parfet crafted an informative and inspirational lecture based on the seven lessons that have shaped his life. These lessons consist of “From Dyslexic to Daring,” “What it Takes for Your First Step,” “Mind Training,” “Struggle & Rebirth,” “Two Types of Pain,” “Leading a Financial Migration,” and “Fear & Change.”
