1. Master's degree and Ph.D. stages
From 2005 to 2010, during graduate school and doctoral class, at that time, three first-year students had the same research goals as me. We used the work breakdown structure method, each taking on different research methods; for example, my first-year students focus on experiments and software analysis, while I concentrate on mathematical derivation, experiments, and integration of conclusions and reports. The weekly interview with the professor is when we present the results. Sometimes I was severely criticized by the professor, but that was the best time. I learned to cherish the request and suggestions of the person in charge as the time to improve you. At that time, we could assist the professor in publishing papers in IEEE journals. First-year students in the experiment also successfully published seminar papers and graduated from the institute.
2. Electronic control engineer stage
Since 2010, I have started to choose Research and Development Substitute Services. As an electronic control engineer in the injection molding machine industry, I quickly learned how to deal with machine abnormalities and modularize electrical material design. Notable projects included the large two-board injection molding machine of India's TATA Group and the cooperation with Japanese company MARUKA Machinery Cooperate in designing the device and selling it to the United States in compliance with NFPA 79 regulations.
3. Project management technical director stage
Since the end of the Research and Development Substitute Services in 2013, I have chosen to work in different professional fields. At that time, I often paid to take courses on product management knowledge, business models, and the application of value propositions. Different from the thinking of being an engineer in the past. This time, I can plan the value proposition and business application diagram and understand that the profit of business behavior is based on parameters such as target customer group, customer relationship, revenue stream, and cost structure. I started to use this model to help the company earn profits and control the risks of each project, so the boss trusted me very much. I have much space to play in equipment purchases, workforce control, and significant decisions. I have completed many projects under expectations. The key is that I abide by the three rules of reporting to the boss every week, talking, and contracting. During the five-year work period, I completed 73 video project management experiences. At that time, my most significant contribution was to improve the equipment rental and promote the standard contract system, which saved the company more than 30% of the cost.
4. Piezoelectric technology engineer stage
In 2019, I decided to improve my English and hope to work in the world-class semiconductor, electronics, and electrical industries. Therefore, in September of the same year, I decided to leave my job and study at NILS's language school in Cebu, Philippines. In March 2020, I finished the TOEIC listening and reading score with a score of 610. Afterward, due to a chance meeting, my past first-year students in the research institute recommended me to the current company in July of the same year. I also returned to the field of piezoelectric technology research. At the same time, I returned to my alma mater, Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, to cooperate with professors on a cooperation Project. At that time, the goal was to miniaturize the piezoelectric actuator and apply it to the micro-actuator of the lens of the mobile phone. After that, I spent a long time in laboratory studies. When special instruments are needed for measurement, I often go to the semiconductor center of National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University to conduct experiments. The structural parts required to design the piezoelectric actuator must also find manufacturers outsourced to complete and conduct assembly testing. In 2022, the structural design and experiment will have some results, and I began to write patents in July and passed the Chinese development patent application in October. The company also plans to apply for United States and Japanese patents.
5. Future career planning
The Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute stated that the domestic semiconductor industry will officially enter the new generation of 3nm mass production in 2023. It is estimated that the overall output value can climb to NT$5 trillion, with an annual growth rate of 6.1%, which is better than the global -3.6%. Taiwan, the semiconductor industry continues to maintain its leading position globally. With more than ten years of experience in engineering, design, and management, I am eager to challenge myself further to enter the semiconductor field and explore different opportunities and learning spaces, so I am actively looking for a suitable position to contribute to the semiconductor industry. I hope to achieve a breakthrough in learning and a peak in my career under the new environment and challenges.
