✓ Proficient in handling large datasets and implementing AI-driven solutions.
✓ Demonstrated persistence and problem-solving capabilities by independently developing a sophisticated options arbitrage system.
✓ Enthusiastic about exploring and mastering emerging technologies in software development.
Jan 2019 ~ Jun 2024 | Taipei, Taiwan
- Designed a quantitative trading system that employed delta-neutral strategies for options arbitrage, consistently achieving a 4% monthly profit.
- Initiated the project from scratch, which involved acquiring knowledge of options, defining the system architecture, evaluating open-source tools, planning data processing flows, programming every snippet, and designing the user experience.
- The trading system includes: ETL that schedules (Airflow) crawler tasks to gather latest data and store in databases (MariaDB, MongoDB), Optimization that performs the calculation accelerated by GPU (Numba, RAPIDS) and clustering (Dask) to identify favorable cases for arbitrage, Broker Agent to receive market quotes and manage orders, and Algorithmic Trading to execute delta-neutral strategies (proprietary algorithm) and manage positions.
Oct 2013 ~ May 2017 | Taipei, Taiwan
Thin Client Processor
- Performed as the owner of a new product line, the thin client SoC, which debuted AST3200 as the first generation, featuring hardware decoders tailored for RDP7.1/8. Led a cross-functional team consisting of firmware (hereafter referred to as FW), hardware, and quality assurance engineers during FW development and reference PCB design, to facilitate the solution's market launch.
- Established a partnership with FW vendor, AMI, supporting them in developing AST3200 FW based on Aspeed drivers and demo boards, especially in improving the image processing performance. Conducted joint promotion with AMI for the total solution, including the SoC and AMI FW, for VDI application.
- Explored additional opportunities in a niche market known as PC extension beyond the VDI application to increase AST3200 sales. Proposed new marketing strategies to develop Aspeed’s proprietary FW for this newly-discovered application. Led the team in developing common FW features and resolving peripheral device compatibility issues based on customer feedback, ensuring a positive user journey. Dynamically prioritized tasks and set weekly goals for each team member. Drove business from initial cold calls to mass production, ultimately boosting revenue. Secured design-ins with key clients, like Leadtek, Astec, ShareVDI, ZeroTC, Trunkey, A+V Link, etc.
- Worked with external silicon vendors to enrich the functionalities of the reference design, such as DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort outputs, WiFi modules, RTC, and more.
- Developed a hardware roadmap for the next generation SoC, AST3300, focusing on hardware acceleration for RDP10 (Microsoft), PCoIP (VMware), and HDX (Citrix) to enhance differentiations.
- Conducted thorough research on the market, encompassing market trends, client surveys, application analysis, and competitor assessments, to achieve a competitive advantage.
- Functioned as a key intermediary between the senior management level and customers during negotiation.
- Prepared documentation for the SoC design guide, project tracking, and marketing campaigns.
Baseboard Management Controller (BMC)
- Championed the ASPEED BMC for IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) server management, ensuring its integration into every client's project and achieving a 90% success rate.
- Collaborated with various firmware vendors, such as AMI and Emerson, for joint promotion.
Mar 2013 ~ Aug 2013 | Taipei, Taiwan
- Led sales activities for Qnap NAS (Network-attached Storage) in the Nordic countries.
- Partnered with local distributors and e-shops for promotional activities. Orchestrated marketing campaigns and product reviews with diverse media outlets to increase brand exposure.
Oct 2011 ~ Oct 2012 | Taipei, Taiwan
- Directed sales strategies for 10+ key clients across various industries, such as Advantech & Moxa (IPC), SerComm & Cameo (Networking), and Geovision (IP CAM).
- Managed channels to prevent conflicts, ensuring excellent client service and driving revenue growth.
- Achieved 39% YoY growth, whereas TI worldwide experienced a 14% decline in the same year.
- Selling Across the Board Award: Replace competitor chips across the PCB in two projects at Advantech.
Aug 2008 ~ Aug 2011 | Taipei, Taiwan
- Transistor-level analog/mixed-signal circuit design for Mstar TV and set-top box controllers.
- Acted as an analog leader to integrate and manage an analog top based on the guidance of design flows.
- Major hands-on circuits included CVBS IDAC, audio DAC, active filters, op-amps, and bandgaps.
- Short-term Reward: Reduced the area of the CVBS IDAC by 50% in the 40nm process for cost savings.
Jun 2017 ~ Dec 2018 | Taipei, Taiwan
Formosa Grand Challenge Hackathon | Jun 2018 ~ Dec 2018
- Designed an AI chatbot employing QACNN model, capable of answering multiple-choice questions.
- Ranked in top 3 among all teams and entered the finals.
