Hi! I’m Kevin, a passionate and innovative product designer with around five years of experience in UI/UX design. I specialize in creating visually appealing, user-friendly, and data-driven designs.
I firmly believe that design is more than just aesthetics—it is the key to solving problems, enhancing user experience, and driving business growth. My Career Journey Throughout my career, FinTech has been the industry I have delved into the most. I worked as a Product Designer at Fugle, where I was responsible for optimizing the user experience of a stock investment platform.
By leveraging data analysis and competitor research, I enhanced the intuitiveness and usability of the trading experience. Additionally, I took charge of building and maintaining the Design System, ensuring consistency and scalability in UI design. Collaborating closely with the engineering team, I facilitated cross-department standardization to improve design and development efficiency.
I also participated in membership growth strategies, utilizing A/B testing and behavioral analysis to increase conversion rates and user retention, ensuring that design and business objectives aligned seamlessly. In 2024, I started taking on freelance projects, where I led a major redesign of an online course platform. This experience allowed me to refine my communication skills, work effectively with diverse teams, and generate creative ideas that added significant value to the project.
Previously, I worked at icash Pay as a Product Planner, where I was responsible for designing electronic payment features, including writing product specifications, process design, and interface optimization. I also implemented user testing workflows, using prototypes to validate design hypotheses, ensuring that the product closely aligned with market needs. This experience deepened my understanding of the digital payment industry and strengthened my ability to collaborate across different departments.
My journey in design began with a UI/UX internship at Cubo, where I conducted user research, interviews, and testing. I personally visited users' homes to uncover pain points and needs. Additionally, I helped establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for product services and organized information architecture, enabling the team to resolve user issues more efficiently. This experience reinforced my belief that design is not just about visual appeal—it is about crafting a complete service experience.
Beyond Design
I have an artistic personality and a deep passion for music. I play the guitar and have collaborated with friends to create performance videos. This creative background allows me to explore unique design styles and take bold, innovative approaches.
In recent years, I have developed a love for baseball and currently play as a catcher in an amateur league. This role has taught me how to stay calm under pressure and guide my team through challenges. Interestingly, I’ve noticed parallels between being a catcher and a product manager (PM)—both require strong leadership and strategic thinking. While I remain focused on my role as a product designer, this realization has broadened my perspective on potential career growth.
At present, I continue to embrace the challenges and excitement that product design brings. I am constantly improving my skills in design, data analysis, and front-end development. Looking ahead, I aspire to create designs that make a real impact, crafting products that truly meet user needs while driving business success.
