Autobiography

I am SHAWN from Kaohsiung, the eldest child in my family, with one younger brother. Due to my parents' job changes, I grew up in different environments. I attended a Taiwanese school in Dongguan for high school, and later pursued my studies in Brisbane, Australia. This experience helped me develop strong adaptability to new environments. Since junior high school, I have been learning guitar, bass, and drums, and in high school, I built a band and served as the club leader. Through these experiences, I gained a deeper understanding of teamwork and communication.

In July 2014, I completed my service in the Navy. In November of the same year, I joined Jetox as a Manufacturing Specialist, primarily responsible for the production of Titleist iron heads. After the first 3 months of internship in various processes, I was in charge of managing the pre-processing (AC, bending, welding stages) after the arrival of raw blanks.

After spending 9 months in the Manufacturing Department, I transferred to the R&D Department as a specialist, focusing on the development and trial production of Titleist iron heads and assisting with on-site process improvements.

In 2017, seeking to return to Taiwan and deepen my career, I switched to a new role at Advance Group, as a Customer Engineer in the Project Integration Department. My main responsibility was to engage with TaylorMade’s engineering team, understand and confirm customer requirements, establish projects, integrate internal departments for pre-development trials, conduct cost estimation after trials, and coordinate various departments such as production and quality assurance to ensure smooth mass production.

In 2018, due to family reasons, I returned to Jetox and worked in the R&D Department as a Senior Engineer, leading a team responsible for the development and trial production of Titleist and PING iron heads, as well as conducting lab tests (such as air cannon, material hardness and plating thickness measurement etc.). I also took on the role of overseeing the Mizuno assembly trial unit. The team atmosphere was harmonious, and compared to similar departments, we consistently exceeded expectations despite having fewer resources.

I have over 10 years of experience in the golf industry, developing popular iron heads for TaylorMade, Titleist, and PING. I have comprehensive experience across various processes, including forging, casting, mold/tooling setting, machining, and finishing processes such as grinding and PVD coating.

My personal goal is to apply the knowledge I gained from my studies and my work experience to excel in my career and constantly push myself to improve. In the future, I hope to perform to the best of my ability, never pass up an opportunity to learn, and always complete the tasks assigned to me with determination and dedication.

Thank you for taking the time to read my autobiography. I hope to have the opportunity to contribute to your company.
