Warren Lammert - Entrepreneur in Finance and Epilepsy Research

Since his daughter was diagnosed with Dravet syndrome, a rare intractable seizure disorder, Warren Lammert has balanced a career as a financial services executive with a personal dedication to advancing seizure-disorder research. He drew on his business and entrepreneurial background to co-found Tevard Biosciences, which investigates gene therapies for Dravet and other rare medical conditions. Warren Lammert also chairs Cerebral Therapeutics and serves on the board of directors for Engage Therapeutics which researches new possibilities for seizure treatment. Warren Lammert stands out as a co-honoree at the Epilepsy Foundation of America Gala in 2013, where he spoke on the challenges that epilepsy presents to a family. He also has shared his story as the author of the foreword for The Brainstorms Family: Epilepsy on Our Terms, a collection of personal stories by individuals with the condition and their loved ones. Further, Lammert has spoken with several major-media outlets on the benefits of medical cannabis for people with seizure disorders. In the financial sector, Warren Lammert works as the founding CEO, portfolio manager, and chief investment officer for Granite Point Capital of Boston, Massachusetts. He established the company following 15 years in Denver, Colorado, as the portfolio manager. While serving in this role, he earned his Master of Science in economic history from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He previously received a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Yale University.
