Yitzy Rosengarten captured the American geography, with a marked romantic accent in his later years, making his landscape paintings the symbol of national identity. Likewise, Yitzy Rosengarten is an exceptional draftsman, with a refined technique, a very precise line and a refined coloring. Therefore, all of his artistic virtues are beautifully reflected in the monumental visions of the Hudson River, where he presented in a naturalistic and at the same time poetic way its beauty.
Yitzy Rosengarten’s landscape painting is based on a constant observation of nature. He poses the landscape not as a stage, but as a faithful representation of a place. His vision proposes to paint a place through an almost scientific perspective but which in turn encompasses the most representative of what is being painted.
